The G.ICE-STORM ROAD 1.0 is an exceptional option for cold-weather and winter road cycling shoes, featuring a waterproof and insulating Gore-Tex® membrane that provides enhanced warmth and comfort.
The upper is crafted with highly breathable G.active airflow microfiber, and anti-abrasion reinforcements are strategically placed in the toe and side areas. It features an elasticized and water-repellent collar with an adjustable strap closure for maximum insulation. Additionally, a rear loop ensures easy entering, while reflex inserts enhance safety in conditions of reduced visibility.
Internally, the Gore-Tex® Duratherm® membrane provides breathability, impermeability, and thermal insulation even in the most intense cold conditions.
The closure system incorporates the BOA Fit System, featuring the IP-1 dial platform, ensuring a rapid, effortless, and precise fit while maintaining a consistent closure across the entire front of the shoe.
The midsole is enhanced by highly insulating thermo-reflective aluminum, placed between the sole and the upper, creating a thermal barrier that keeps the foot warm and dry. Simultaneously, the anatomically designed inner sole provides support in the tarsal area, ensuring both comfort and efficiency during pedaling.
The GAERNE EPS CARBON POWER SOLE 8.0, made of nylon enriched with carbon for enchanced rigidity. Its thin profile allows for efficient pedaling without energy dispersion, while the plantar arch shape enhances foot stability. Strategically placed air vents and internal channels ensure superior ventilation. Frontal non-slip rubber inserts and rear replaceable PU inserts provide secure walking. Featuring 9mm expanded cleat position options and an integrated alignment scale, cyclists can easily replicate their preferred cleat positions. The sole is compatible with all clipless pedals, boasting an index of rigidity 8.
